Dr. David K. Stotlar teaches sport marketing and sport law. Hehas published over 50 articles in professional journals andhas written several textbooks and book chapters on sportmarketing, fitness risk management, and sport law. He has made many presentations at national and internationalprofessional conferences. On several occasions, he has servedas a sport management consultant to fitness and sportprofessionals, and a sport law consultant to attorneys andinternational sport managers. Dr. Stotlar was selected by the USOC asa delegate to the International Olympic Academy in Greece andthe World University Games Forum in Italy. He has conductedinternational seminars in sport management and marketing for theHong Kong Olympic Committee, the National Sports Council ofMalaysia, the Mauritius National Sports Council, the National SportsCouncil of Zimbabwe, the Singapore Sports Council, the ChineseTaipei University Sport Federation, the Bahrain Sport Institute,the government of Saudi Arabia, the South African NationalSports Congress, and the Association of Sport Sciences in SouthAfrica. Dr. Stotlar's contribution to the profession includes anappointment as coordinator of the Sport Management ProgramReview Council (NASPE/NASSM) from 1999-2001. He previouslyserved as chair of the Council on Facilities and Equipment ofthe American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation,and Dance. He also served as a board member and, later, as president of theNorth American Society for Sport Management. | |
