Danny Rosenberg, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Education and Kinesiology at Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. His primary research interests include sport and physical education philosophy, sport ethics, sport history, sport and ethnicity, and sport management. He was the founding Program Director and then Chair of the Department of Sport Management at Brock University. He was also a visiting scholar at the Zinman College of Physical Education and Sport, The Wingate Institute, Israel, during a sabbatical leave in 1998-1999. He has authored or coauthored articles and essays in journals such as the International Journal of Physical Education, Canadian Journal of Sport History, Avante, Journal of the Philosophy of Sport, and the Journal of Sport History. His works have also been published as book chapters and in conference proceedings. Dr. Rosenberg serves on several professional committees in both Canada and the U.S. and is a reviewer for a number of journals. He is currently working on a book that investigates Jews and sport in Toronto during the interwar period. He holds degrees from the University of Western Ontario and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
