Dr. Housner is currently associate dean and professor of physical education teacher education at West Virginia University. Dr. Housner received his B.S. from the University of Virginia and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. While attending graduate school, he taught physical education to children in preschool through eighth grade. Dr. Housner has been involved in many professional organizations and has served as NMAHPERD president, research section chair for Southwest AHPERD, C&I; Academy Chair for AAH-PERD, and president of the AERA-SIG on learning and instruction in physical education. Dr. Housner has published work on teacher cognition and teaching physical education in state, regional, national, and international journals and was selected Southwest AHPERD Scholar in 1994. |
